That's funny. I've taken my summit in for service twice and I felt as though I purchased a $15k dodge dart. Coming from other "premium" brands, who offer superior service, I am disappointed with Jeep/Chrysler. No loaner vehicle for warranty repairs is ridiculous. They market this vehicle as a luxury competitor, but don't offer the luxury dealer experience. All I'm asking for is a loaner and service department that calls you back when parts are in, instead of you calling back and playing phone tag for days on end. I really wanted to buy a 2014 diesel summit, but first year issues, plus horrible customer service is not worth it to me.

thats all the dealer you chose! My wifes durango has been in 3x the last 2 months for the head issue and all three times she was given a free loaner. No idea why they wouldnt get yu a loaner other than laziness. This is one of those circumstances where you shouldve called Jeep customer service. We didnt even have to ask for a loaner. They had it waiting for her, washed and gased up from the local enterprise rental.

I also said that as my opinion as to the quality of the product...not that those Jeeps were premium.

The dealer stated that they "offer a shuttle service, or I can pay for a rental there" Seems to be common as there are threads about it. Either way, as long as I don't have to be at the dealer often, I'll be fine.

Hyundai has a 5 year 60000 mile bumper to bumper in the US. This covers thier whole line and they aren't a luxury line. I agree that Chrysler has to improve quality. My 2012 Jeep has been back for several warranty issues. My wifes 2013 Hyundai has zero issues. If the quality was there then they would surely back it and make sure everyone knew about it too.

and my coworkers 13 Hyundai4 door sedan was just lemoned. It happens....they are mass produced items. Was it hyundai or kia that used to have the 10/100k?

Here in Canada my '12 Overland only comes with a 5/100K km warranty which doesn't even compare to the Jeep USA warranty even though I also had to pay $10K more for the same vehicle. My wife's G8 came with a 5/160K km warranty and free oil changes for the first 3 years

My wife's Hyundai Sonata was just in for warranty work. Known problem of the brake switch with the push button start so we could start the car. The more electronics you put to a car, you can't always guarantee a warranty on the. If they go, they go. Always going to be faults in some product no matter how much testing you do.

I bought the lifetime warranty for 1840.00 for my 2012 Overland 4x4. Try to get that factory warranty on the other vehicles you mentioned for the same price. Hard to beat for me since I put 21K a year on the vehicle. Try footing the bill for an out of warranty X5 repair. Not fun.

FYI, That lifetime warranty is really a 7 year warranty...lifetime doesn't extend to 4x4 models.
