Is your headlight switch set to on or auto? If the headlights are on auto then the gauges will dim anytime the headlights kick on. If you are manually turning your headlights on then I assume they would be dimmed all the time.

Forgot to note that if you do run the thumbwheel up to the detent for full brightness, the UConnect settings are overridden, and if memory serves the menu item disappears.

Set the UConnect daytime as bright as it can go, and adjust the night for typical driving.

I still find the thumbwheel much easier to use, particularly when changing from under a Colorado thunderstorm back to light, or unpopulated mountain road to city streets/lights.

Actually, I picked up my 2015 Overland this past Saturday.

Yup, this fixed it for me. I just leave the headlight switch in "auto" and the brightness works great.

So you folks that talk of 15's are actually talking about MY15. Your car's are not actually 15's, there 14's. The same as my MY14 SRT is actually a 13. When it comes time to sell it's the build date that makes the difference.

BS marketing tricks from all brands these days. Anyway, carry on

LOL... yet everywhere you mention your SRT you call it a 14.

Around here, to the best of my knowledge, when it comes time to sell they go by MY not BD.

Was at the dealer a few days ago... they have three 15's sitting on the lot.

Nothing about it is "these days". When I was a kid the first Sunday in September is when the new Chevrolets were introduced. They were available the next day.

The reason I remember is because the tv show "Bonanza" (originals, not reruns) would be shown commercial free for 45 minutes. Then, the Cartwright family would introduce the new line up.

Back then, only the imports had a model year align with a calendar year.

As for build date having anything to do with selling price ... Not around here. That's not to say it isn't the case where you are. Here it is model year, mileage, and condition.
