Key issue

Has anyone ever had the message saying "Key not Dectected", when in fact the key was in the vehicle trying to start it? I had to lock and unlock the doors with the key and then it worked fine. It should not be the battery because the trunk and remote start worked fine.

Re: Key issue

Mine started to show this message when the battery started getting low in the remote. I replaced the battery and it works great now. I could still unlock the doors automatically just it wouldn't let me start it every so often till the battery was changed out. Just what fixed my issue. Hopefully you're problem is just as eaasy to fix.

Re: Key issue

Thanks. I will make an appointment at the dealer. Do I need to have both keys checked?
