Couldn't you have downloaded app from borrowed phone and sign in and unlock. ONce all that you could have deleted app. just a thought.

What happens if your battery dies and you cant find a replacement ? Just wondering...

I believe manual has an answer for that. Something to do with placing key fob touching the push to start button and i think push button with key fob.
