Leaking Antifreeze

Well I parked the jeep today and when I came out and drove away I noticed a big wet area on the ground. I thought its hot and humid today probably just from the air. Then I parked a few other places and nothing then I parked in my garage and I just go outside and another big area. It looked just like water but with a pink tint. So after looking around it seems to be coming from the water pump area. Just hit 3800 miles and I need to take it in tomorrow. Anyone had the water pump replaced on the pentastar?

Re: Leanking Antifreeze

upon further inspection it look like it might be the upper radiator hose adaptor. There is a plastic piece that comes off the engine and makes a 90 I think that may be the source of the leak as its all wet with anitfreeze.

Re: Leanking Antifreeze

O-rings need replacement. This happened on mine at 170 miles. Simple fix but why they don't they fix this at the factory by now.

Re: Leanking Antifreeze

It was just a bleed not fully seated, simple fix.

Re: Leanking Antifreeze

Had same leak, dealer thought it was cracked water pump housing, turned out to be loose bleed valve. seems ok now will keep eye on it though.
