Leaking Trans A/C Compressor, etc $3500 repair!

I noticed that my power steering fluid was low and there were fluids near the underneath part of the radiator fan.

I took the truck to the dealership and they reported that I need to repair: Power steering cooler lines $632, power steering flush & fill service $127, power steer rack $1,347, wheel alignment $90, sway bar bushings $170, A/C compressor $815, a total of $3500. I only have 54000 miles on the truck.

They also, reported that I need a condenser/trans cooler and timing cover reseal that is under the power-train warranty.

How can I file a formal complaint with Chrysler and maybe get reimbursed for these expenses? Have anyone else experience any of these problems. I have a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Unlimited, 54k miles? Thank you.

If I were you I would get rid of it and buy a used one without the problems.

steering rack I can see, my 2011 has it's 3rd now (seems FCA sees this item in the same light as wiper blades), does your A/C work? PS cooler lines, what's wrong with them? alignment will need done if rack is changed, $127 to fill the fluids after rack change seems steep.

The power steering lines are leaking. Yes, the AC is working ok. Do you think there will be a recall on the rack & pinion someday? And, maybe a recall on the Trans a/c compressor? Thanks.

Re: Leaking Trans A/C Compressor, etc $3500 repair!

a/c compressor is unrelated to the transmission..

the a/c evaporator is in the same 'radiator' as the transmission cooler IIRC, so if the cooler is replaced the a/c will have to be recharged.. but I don't see how the compressor would need to be replaced..

I don't understand how all of a sudden the transmission lines and cooler are leaking AND the rack and the PS lines are leaking.
