Re: LED in the door **UPDATE**

Hey guys, I just bought a 12 wk2 and I already had a 11 wk2. I noticed the door handle lights right away. Thanks so much for this thread. I will be bringing the info to the dealer to get it fixed. I am sure it will be a hassle. Have to check the led's. I have a early build date as I bought my 11 on 9/11/10.

It should. My X has them and they were not on when I bought it.

Sightseeker is right, you should have the lights in any trim level WK2. For a lot of people the lights do actually turn on but it is so dim you cant see it at all without looking directly at the bulb (which can also be difficult due to placement)

Either in your garage with the lights off or at night have a look in the tiny slot at the top of the door handle pull recess and see if you can see anything. You might also want to try using a small flashlight to produce a reflection off the led.

Tough to spot but they should be there.

Got my lights fixed at Pinebelt in Lakewood. Brought in the info posted here and they took care of it. Was fast and easy.

Re: LED in the door **UPDATE**

Just heard that mine are now on and working as well. Took the instructions to Tate Jeep in Glen Burnie, MD. Great job. Frustrating part is I have had Adam's Jeep in Annapolis, MD try to fix this twice which was like pulling teeth and they concluded that my vehicle didn't come with them and that was all they could do. Never taking the vehicles back to them. +1 for Tate and their service adviser Brian.

My Adams Jeep up here in Harford CO. wouldn't do it either.

Finally, they work. Brought the jeep in for an oil change and asked if their understanding of the bin lights had advanced since they told me 1) there are no lights, 2) they are there but no one can really see them because they are so dim. Anyway, they explained there w was a programming error in the initial system that has now been fixed. THEY ARE VERY BRIGHT!

How did they figure its a program error? Was there a bulletin put out about it?

Re: LED in the door **UPDATE**

They told me they got the info from Chrysler. I was serviced at
Baystate Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, (617) 454-2995. Their note says only that they restored the configuration that initially had a glitch and that Chrysler recently fixed.

God bless you! Wonder where i can get an answer on paper to bring to my dealer and show them. I called the dealership from earlier posts and they described exactly what was written. I then explained it to my dealer(s) and they still couldnt pull it off.
