Garage
So after two dealerships and countless headaches my lights are now working and finally bright! The second dealer I went to had never fixed this problem. I relayed the info I got on this forum and VOILA! I feel good about this. Great testament to the wealth of knowledge on this forum. Thanks for all the help. FYI anyone in Louisiana with this problem Brian Harris of Baton Rouge now has the fix. Big shout to their service department.

Re: LED lights in the door panels not turning on

I believe I may have a more serious problem. I just took delivery of a new Ltd on Monday and then drove it 600 miles today. Everything seemed OK but when I tried to push the lever forward for brights I got nothing however if I pull the lever toward me I get momentary brights until I let go. Also although the interior lights in the dome forward of the moon roof work on manual detention, I get no interior lights when opening the door in the dark. There may be a switch somewhere but my manual does not mention it.
Since I picked up the GC at my daughters residence and am now 600 miles away from the dealer, don't know if I need to find a local dealer or can someone help me trouble shoot so I can see to unload. Where are all the lights?

Re: LED lights in the door panels not turning on

As long as the wheel is not all the way down, the interior lights should come on when the door is open. I looked for a setting when my interior lights stayed on for a good long time with the hatch open, there is no setting in uconnect.

As far as the high beams. If auto high beams is on and you are testing against a reflective surface, you could be fakeing the sensor into thinking there is oncoming traffic.

I will check about the Steering wheel. Since I have long legs, the seat is all the way back and I did extend the steering wheel so May not have tilted it up on exit. The high beams do not come on going down a dark country road unless I pull the turn signal/wiper lever rearward which is momentary. If I push the level forward nothing happens. The dims stay on. I tried rotating the headlight switch to all positions to see if this made any dif but it did not.

Thanks for your reply.

My fault for not being clear, I meant the lighting control "wheel", not the steering wheel.

Something sounds like it is not right based on your description.

Turned the dimmer up and now all interiors AND high beam works. Thank you. The wheel tilt/extension is kinda akward.
