LED lights in the door panels not turning on

I purchased a new GC Laredo X last week. They needed to get it from another dealer so they gave me a base Laredo to drive till it came in. The base model had LED lights in the door where the handle is and in the map pockets. When mine came in those lights never turned on. The dealer has no idea (didn't even know they existed) and I called Detroit and they didn't have an answer either. I assume it is a setting somewhere but I can't find it. Please help.

Re: LED lights in the door panels not turning on

This might help: Have you tried changing the position of the rotary wheel (beside the headlamp switch) that adjusts the interior light dimming. When taken to the end of its travel, this wheel can click to an 'off' position.

Re: LED lights in the door panels not turning on

I've tried that, it isn't the problem. It is wierd because everything else works, including the lights in the cupholders. Thank you though.

Re: LED lights in the door panels not turning on

I am hoping for any new ideas here. I called a different dealer and they said they should be working. I can see the light bulbs are in there, they just aren't turning on.

I highly doubt that the LED's are burnt out. They last almost forever!

Re: LED lights in the door panels not turning on

They may have forgotten to connect the leds to the wiring harnesses in the doors.

Re: LED lights in the door panels not turning on

The only lights I see on my doors are the window and lock controls. Doesn't look like the door handle or map-cup holder in the door are lighted.

Re: LED lights in the door panels not turning on

If you look there are small slits up underneath the top rim of both, you need to feel for them or get on the ground and look up. The lights are recessed so you can't see them.

Hmm, I just assumed they were not present on the Laredo X. I'll have to check it out because I do not have leds on the door panel either

Re: LED lights in the door panels not turning on

I checked on the way home tonight and neither doors have lights except for the window and door lock controls.

Re: LED lights in the door panels not turning on

they are there, when i ordered mine in the dealership gave me a base model laredo with no options and it had them in it, so i was confused when my laredo x didn't have them, so i asked the dealer and they said they don't have lights so I showed them the ones in the base i drove before and they were shocked. So I found where they are located and looked on mine and sure enough i can see the bulbs, they just don't turn on.
