Left rear turn signal out

Three times today while driving I got a left rear turn signal out message. It would last about 30 seconds and then go out. One time while the message was on I tried the signal and it flashed fast like a bulb was out, but then it goes back to working normal. No bulbs are burnt out. Has anyone else had this issue?

Re: Left rear turn signal out

Yes, if the filament is broken and making intermittent contact. The bulb is easy to replace. Seems like every car I have bought in the past 10 years has burnt out one of the taillight bulbs (usually the combo taillight/brakelight 3157 with two filaments, must be a reason why these seem to go 1st) in the first year. My last car that I traded on the GC went through a taillight bulb every 6-12 months, so I always carried a spare or two with me. So far, no burnt out bulbs for my GC, but it is less than 6 months and 5000 miles so far.

Re: Left rear turn signal out

I had the same "issue" with my right turn signal. Very easy to replace, and after dealing with bulbs on european cars for the past 10 years, it was nice to find the bulbs in stock (and cheap) at a local auto parts store.

My bulb also did not appear to be burnt out, but replaced it and fixed the problem immediately.

Jp476,
I had this same issue also. Check the wiring connector at the bulb socket. Mine was not fully connected and locked.

Yes, I have the exact same issue. It has been doing this for the past week or so. Right now it has been working fine for the last 3 days.
