Keep receipts for oil changes if you are not doing them at the dealer.

Second, I'm an attorney albeit not practicing and not in NC.

It is not uncommon for a national contract to omit state exceptions since those can change over time. You generally have a contract and state law can modify it for whatever reason....in this case consumer protection.
Dan- what would be your suggestion to verify this warranty is transferable to a second buyer? I have been to the dealership and as you noted they were worthless. I'm not planning on selling my jeep, but, when I do sell it I want to make sure I advertise it properly. It will make a lot of price difference if I can sell confidently with a lifetime warranty.

Thanks for your help.

Re: life time warranty

Lifetime is transferable in only two states. Florida and I believe NC

Update: yep was correct.

TRANSFER POLICY
Plan is ONLY transferable in the state of Florida ($40 transfer fee) and North Carolina ($50 transfer fee).

Re: life time warranty

Yeah and I think that applies if you were living in those states when you purchased the vehicle (regardless of where you purchased it). Not applicable to those changing residence after purchase. If you check on line, lifetime plans sold to residents of those states are more expensive by perhaps $1000 because of the transfer thing.

That's exactly what I figured based on the quotes that I got, so I didn't upgrade to it.

I live in NC and paid $2,050 lifetime (receipt photo attached).
I have yet to figure out if I can transfer the warranty when I sell the jeep even though it says it's transferable in NC but it does not say that on the actual contract. Chrysler has not been able to provide me with the paperwork as proof.

I need to look into this further too for written confirmation...I am in Florida and got the Lifetime Max Care for $2,000 with $100 deductible per visit.

My lifetime warranty says it is NOT transferable.
