Turns out that warranty paid out for just about $6000 worth of repairs on my Overland before it hit 100k miles.

In my case I think it was worth it and if I buy another Jeep I will definitely buy another extended warranty, the longest coverage that I can find.

My local Jeep dealer had no problem with the Zurich warranty until the last repair at 99,870 miles. But with photos of the broken manifold bolt sent by the Jeep dealer, they paid the claim.

Like peckmv said, wow, $6000 in repairs before 100k miles? This is exactly the thing I hope is better these days with American cars, especially the WK2. Spending that much money in repairs in a modern car before the 100k mark is unacceptable.

It's a Jeep thing. Most people don't understand.

Like I said before, I would never buy a Jeep without an extended warranty. Especially not an Overland with the air suspension and all.

By the way my 04 has been mostly trouble free for the last 70 to 80k miles, since I got the front diff done the third time. At 207k miles now and would like to keep it for another year or 50k miles. But may look into a WK2 or V8 Pathfinder next summer.

Yep, brand loyalty and enthusiasts.

But this is 2012, there are many people buying the WK2 now that are not Jeep people, but buying it for luxury, looks, etc. You expect more out of a $40,000+ machine.

Re: Lifetime Warranty Question, LWM110N for 12 Overland

When i checked out the Lifetime Warranty online and it was $3,900.00. That is way out of line. $1,750.00 sounds like a bargain. I have a 2011 Overland summit less then a year old and only 7,500 miles on it. Did you get the get this price from the dealer?

Where did you see it for $1750? Best I saw it for was 1800. I'm still on the fence re: the lifetime vs 7 year warranty. I only drive 8-10,000 miles a year but I'm concerned about the language in the warranty that says they can deny claims of wearable items - which could apply to anything after a certain number of miles and/or years.

I got it from a dealer at the time of purchase. It looks like 1700 is dealer cost. 1825 is the best online price that I found. If you get a quote, you will probably get a $25 coupon code by email within a day (I did). 1800 is still a great deal. Let me k ow if you need the website address. I will get it from my email. Merry christmas.
