Hello all.

Just got back from washing the salt off my 13 wk2 laredo. It was at a "touchless" car wash. I looked at my rear view mirror and could see a very small trickle of water on the inside of the glass.

Not sure if it had happened before but now I have to call the dealer to have them look at this. I've had the SUV for over three months with 1200 miles. Kinda wish I wasn't already having an issue like this...oh well. Still the best ride I have ever had.

Anyone else have this same problem?

Thanks for the reply. Glad it's not just me with this issue.

Before someone else says it..."Search is your friend" LOL

I'm using the mobile app and tried the search function after I posted...and sure enough there was the answer to my question.

btw loving the mobile app for my tablet and phone.

No problem.

Easy enough to answer.

Re: liftgate window leak

I'm pretty sure there was a TSB for this problem. But you would think that since the problem started with the 2011's, you think someone at Jeep would have had the fix applied to all 2012-2013's, but it doesn't sound like it.

Re: liftgate window leak

The fix is very very simple aside from the fact most folks don't own a set of Torx bits to fully remove the rear spoiler.

Of course.

Per information on Wk2 Jeeps.com:

Water leaking - running down the center inside of the backlight/glass
Open rear flipper glass. Remove spolier attachment screws (4 of them with Torx heads) on the inner side of the glass and the two (10mm nuts) at the hinges. Roll the spoiler toward the roof of the vehicle. Remove the outer harness retained at the lower half of the spoiler allowing spoiler to extend out of the way. Inspect the grommit (90 degree rubber elbow) for proper fit to the glass. Apply Kent High Tech Clear P10567 to the grommit face to glass sealing area and harness to grommit inner areas. Allow proper cure time as instructed.

Re: liftgate window leak

Had this leak on my 2012 JGC. They just had a window guy come to the dealer and he injected some kind if goo with a needle into the wire/grommit area. Leak free for over a year. He didn't have to remove the spoiler. Can't see any blob at the grommit site. He did a neat job and it only took minutes to fix.
