I'm going to do the same thing. Getting a door lock key made and keeping it in my office (along with keeping my purse with me 'til I get in.)

Re: Locked fob in Jeep...Question

I have never left my key fob in the vehicle.

My previous vehicle, a Toyota 4Runner, would automatically lock the door 1 minute after the key was removed from the ignition so I ALWAYS keep my keys in my hand or pocket.

Just to be sure, I've also disabled the auto unlock feature on my WK2 so I have to actually Press the Unlock button on my fob to enter the vehicle.

There's a lock on the armrest?
