I also noticed checking lower mileage driven increases the amount.

I thought that weird.

I called Bob over at Ziggys, nice guy, very on the ball and not willing to sell you crap you don't need.

I did buy a maintenance contract (oil changes and tire rotations). It was $245 for a 6 year package... works out to $8 an oil change...

I'd double check the fine print on that oil change. Someone else got a similar plan and later found out it was like $10.00 towards an oil change. But yours might be a different package.

Nothing is for free. I pay $8.00 per quart of oil for my wifes car. What are they putting in yours for $8.00? The filter probably cost more than that.

Did u buy the maintenance package from Ziegler. Online or did u have to called. I bought mine locally, for about 440. Costs 25 to cancel and I'll still come out ahead.

Re: Looking for recomendations for Extended Warranties

Have not yet used the service.

I called Zieger to get the details on it (and it's the only way you can order it).

He assured me that it would cover the entire cost of the service (same as buying the lesser version (they come in different yearly packages, I picked the longest term one they had).

Give Bob a jingle at the number listed on the site, just let him know you were looking for that basic service plan (Oil Change and Tire rotation) and he will give ya the skinny.

Re: Looking for recomendations for Extended Warranties

Finally ordered the extended warranty.

I bought the Maximum Care and the 7-Year Wheel package from Zeigler (Bob Cline) on Friday night. I went with the Maximum Care because all of the problems that happened to my previous car happened just after the 8 year mark (I keep my cars for a long time) and because of the built-in electronics.

I looked today (4 days later) and my service plans show up online.

There are two places that you can check to see the plans linked to your car. The Mopar one has a link to the Jeep site. The Jeep site seems to have more detail and you can download your plan.

I'm pretty sure they allow you 2 per year for a total of 12. So closer to $20 per oil change. They assume you drive 12k miles per year and the interval is 6k I believe.

Once you go past 48K miles you can no longer add the Lifetime plan.

My entire transaction with Ziegler was online including the ordering and payment. They will cheerfully take your money without a phone call!

Re: Looking for recomendations for Extended Warranties

Guys, last week I picked up my new 14' Overland, V8. Very impressed!!!
I am looking into lifetime max care warranty with, $100 deductible. Dealer has quoted me $1,995.00 + tax. Is this a good deal? I got a quote from chryslerwarranties.com and it was over $200 more after discount code.
I did not call Ziegler yet.... Any one getting better quotes?

Thanks!

Here is Zeilger's site. I plan to buy from them since they have the best price for my 8/120 since I can't get lifetime.

Re: Looking for recomendations for Extended Warranties

Thanks for the link!
I received a quick quote from the Ziegler's site - $2,185.00.
That's almost $200 more compared to my dealer's quote of $1,995.00 for the same plan. Looks like my dealer has very good price....

that's good you probably wont do a whole lot better than that. I paid 2100 at the dealer and that was after negotiating it down
