His name is Bob, the number on website goes to his desk. I did not get tire package so I do not know what is covered or not with it. Very easy guy to speak with and doesn't try to upsell or be aggressive, just gives you facts and lets you make decision.

I bit on the warranty got home and knew I signed the extended warranty papers too fast and called him first thing in the morning and had to hear the b.s. convo about how much my overland costs and what am I going to do if something goes wrong?? I let him get it all off his chest and toldem to cancel it..well his demeanor changed to very short answers and wasn't the warm fuzzy person he showed himself to be the previous day. The check from Chrysler came to
me in the mail for what i paid for the max care warranty which was about 2600. Now I'm just looking for a great price on the warranty and I'm ready to roll. I might just do what I've done on my other vehicles and wait till the 3/36 is about to expire and then shop a few dealers against each other and see how that works. I just saw chrysler is giving 0% on all new grand Cherokees!! Wtf?? Lol.
0% has been available all summer. That's what I got in August. It's limited to 3 years though. I knew I could add the warranty later and passed no matter what price the finance guy gave me.

Has anyone actually used the service contract for work, did you have any trouble or was it easily honored?

Re: Looking for recomendations for Extended Warranties

It's a Mopar/Chrysler service contract and pretty clear cut. It's tied to your VIN, so any dealer you go to for work, either for regular maintenance or emergency issues, will see it come up in your vehicle record. The dealer service department should be happy to have a "paid for" repair work to do!

When I was looking in July, I specifically asked and the salesman had to look and he said yes. Then when I decided to order I was concerned I might lose it. It was delivered within a month in August and it was still available. Now apparently they have even opened it up further.

Looked on website and couldn't find much.

Dealers prefer use local financing because they get a small kickback from the banks.

I found the special financing buried on the Jeep web site under special offer or something when I bought mine in July. Even though I had the printout with me, I still had to ask for it. There was no problem after I asked for it though. Probably because they could get into trouble if they dont offer it to you, as long as you qualify.

Re: Looking for recomendations for Extended Warranties

Was looking to get an extended warranty, but that contract says it won't honor coverage if the vehicle is altered from stock in any way. That is a huge gotcha if I ever saw one.

According to the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act and most opinions, you can modify your car without voiding the warranty. However, the part that you modify and any damage that can be traced directly back to that part is not covered. You may, however, be responsible for a diagnostics fee if it's somewhat related. For example, if you lift your suspension and a warrantied suspension part breaks then it likely would not be covered. However, if your radio failed, it would be covered.

Also, from what I have read, if you use an official Mopar part that is listed as a compatible accessory, then it does not void any part that would fall under the warranty.

FYI: I am not a lawyer and the above are my personal opinions

I agree when it comes to warranties. But do these extended contracts also fall under the act? That I am not so sure about..
