Lost its memory??

When I came out to my vehicle tonight after sitting for a couple hours it had lost all its sirius channel selection memory and it had lost its seat position memory....everything was just blanked out like a new vehicle....has this ever happened to anyone before ?does that make sense? it didn't lose any of its navigation points and it also didn't lose any of its gas mileage history, but it looked almost like it had cut its power to itself...
Vehicle started up and ran fine but everything will have to be reset in the morning back the way it was....

Re: Lost its memory??

Are both key fobs programmed? Maybe one is and the other isn't and the one that is wasn't selected when you got in your jeep.

Re: Lost its memory??

Yes but I've never had the radio lose all its preset settings just by switching fobs... Also the second fob was not around when this happened... It was like someone pushed factory reset button....

Re: Lost its memory??

If it's only happened once I'd guess you somehow cleared it when you got in the car. Is the other key fob programmed to the car with different settings?

Re: Lost its memory??

No it's not programmed at all. I use it as a spare key. I thought retained settings were only for the seat and wheel position, not radio presets.. Am I wrong here?

Re: Lost its memory??

Sirius and seat position can be selected for each key fob. I'm still thinking that maybe you had the non programmed key when you got into the car. Or maybe you somehow cleared the memory by pushing "2" on the door when you got in. Your nav settings don't change with either key fob.

Re: Lost its memory??
