Re: Major design flaw

Major flaw of humanity to have thick hands and arms that don't fit between seats and console..

Re: Major design flaw

There is also a lot of gap between the seats of a lot of other vehicles I have driven. First of all, I never eat in my jeep, so food going down there is not a problem. Coin, i barely use coins anymore since most parking meters accept credit card, even for 25 cent parking. Sometimes I drop a pen or piece of paper down there, but if I slide the seat all the way back, I can easily reach them.

Was it the BMW or Jaguar that had seats move sideways? Or am I thinking of airplanes?

Don't know about BMW or Jag, but I remember that Chevy Monte Carlos had a swivel seat option. It was certainly the lazy way to get in and out of the car.

Re: Major design flaw

Like a doubledecker bus driver. You know their seats are on a big spring, and they keep bouncing around, and they swivel. I didn't know Monte Carlos had that.

No big spring on the Monte Carlo, just a swivel to get in and out. The one I remember might have been early 1970's.
