Material wears off in the glove compartment

Recently I got something from the glove compartment and later noticed my fingers were covered with something resembling black dust (my interior is black and inside of glove compartment is also black). Upon a closer look it turned out to be the "fuzz" that plastic of glove compartment is covered inside. Everything in glove compartment was covered by this "fuzz" to a different degree.

Anyone else noticed the same?

Re: Material wears off in the glove compartment

It is a spray on coating to reduce rattling, noise, sliding, etc. I noticed it too and thought I hope it lasts.....a rubber tray insert would have been better if anything. So far, mine isn't coming off....I don't get into the glove compartment much anyway.

I've got the same thing going on. I was more noticeable the first week or so but has not been as bad lately. I'm thinking it was just loose fibers (kind of like when you install new carpet)

Re: Material wears off in the glove compartment

Vacuum it out and see what happens.. As others said its probably just from being newer, your the one experiencing the rub off.
