Re: MaxCare Warranty??

Is there any type of extended warranty I can still purchase and add on now that I'm almost at 60k and 4years?
No major issues so far, but that's what worries me. Dreading something like the head unit or QL going out down the road.

Just entered that code onto website today. BINGO!

One Hundred Thanks!

Re: MaxCare Warranty??

I bought the Maxcare and all my dealership keeps doing is finding what it doesn't cover. Back up camera went out, back up sensors went out, blindspot system went out. All apparently tied to a short in the headlight module, which isn't covered by Maxcare. So $1,300 to fix all these electrical problems that I was told would be covered when I bought the policy. They wouldn't cover the peeling dash panel either, but said they worked a deal with Chrysler and would only charge me $250 to replace. I believe this will be my last Jeep.

I would call FCA and ask them direct. Could be your dealer?

G*amnit! This friggin'* makes me so so so angry...some dealers should have their franchise revoked ON THE SPOT!

This dealership is so sadly wrong and they know it!

They are right that MaxCare does not cover "trim" which the dash is, only your 3/36 bumper to bumper covered that so how can they be nice with arranging the $250 (I assume that's got "love" in it for the repair done) and so inept with MVP coverage of the other repair???? Some of the service advisors/mgrs are decent and work hard to get things covered since they are getting paid decent "book" rates on labor and full retail on parts but some are just lazy bums who go on "knowledge" and not the specific plan and situation. Personally, I have my plan doc on my phone and in the glove box and they will have to show me in print were it says the item is not covered and if there is not 100% agreement MVP gets called PRIOR to work.

Headlamp BULBS/LAMPS are not covered but the friggin assy and wiring is...JHC!

Don't even screw with this dealer anymore unless you like getting shafted. Call MVP Customer Service at 1-800-521-9922 with your VIN and Plan # and have the service invoice ready to scan/email to them to get your money back from either them or that crook dealer.

This is the excerpt from my MVP MaxCare Lifetime plan and they are all the same:

Sorry for getting so emotional but this stuff really rubs my rhubarb the wrong way

Re: MaxCare Warranty??

Great advice from GoPlzGo. The problems you have (back up sensor, blind spot monitor) are exactly the reasons to have a Max Care warranty. Lots of computers and electronics. I cannot add to the advice from GoPlzGo except that you really do need another dealer, and make sure the idiots at your current dealership know what you are doing.

I'm curious to know whether you bought the warranty from the dealer or one of the guys who give a great deal on them via this forum. When I bought my JGC a year and a half ago, I went in knowing exactly what to pay for the warranty. When they tried to sell it to me for many hundreds more, I said no thanks, but I will pay $XXX. The fellow said, "How did you know?" In other words, they were trying to make the selling of the warranty into another profit center.

It really pays to pay attention to this forum!!!
