Re: MaxCare Warranty??

IMO, I'd wait at least till you reach 10k miles. Imagine paying the lifetime warranty right away then dealing with a bunch of issues at the start.

This is going to be my first Jeep. I liked the ride and style but I want to make sure it's everything I need now and in the future. The lifetime warranty ISN'T transferable which would suck if I decide to switch cars down the road.

I'm not sure about the answer to the loaner car question since I didn't purchase it from a local dealership, but knowing the ones around here, I'm guessing they don't. Will definitely check into that though.
Jeep typically does not do loaners unless a specific dealership decides to offer that on their own, some do most don't. Hopefully your jeep will not go back in for warranty work a dozen times in a year and a half like mine has but that free rental with the maxcare has been a huge benefit for me all those times. think how much it would actually cost you to rent a decent sized car all those times and many of the events were multiday. you probably wont be in nearly that much but it is a nice benefit

I don't know the answer to your question, Paullee. I was only expecting to have a rental for a day, but it ended up being three because of the needs for pano parts the one time I used the benefit so far.

It doesnt have to be overnight i have had the maxcare rentals for 5 hours and for 5 days and everything in between. Its nice also because you get a comparable rental to what your jeep is they dont put you in some tiny sub compact.

Hah! That's definitely dealer-dependent. I got "gifted" with a nasty Nisan XTerra...

Re: MaxCare Warranty??

Maxicare care rental / loaner.....Yesterday I brought the Jeep in for the sun visor recall, oil change, tire rotation and they performed 3 flash updates. The dealership has an Enterprise car rental on site. They gave me a car for the day on the maxicare.

No rattles just a strange odor. I'm thinking it's some kind of adhesive. Hopefully it will dissipate in a few days.

The recall includes vehicles from the 2011 through 2014 models years, which were manufactured from January 5, 2010 through December 11, 2013. So you are not affected with a build date of May 2014.

You may want to check about the oil change. I have two years or 4 oil changes free of charge. I wasn't even aware of it until I brought it in. If you go to www.moparownerconnect.com then click the Mopar Vehicle Protection link it should tell you if you have a two year contract.

The tire rotation was $25.00 reduced to $18.00 with a coupon that I printed from the Jeep website.

Re: MaxCare Warranty??

Just thought I'd chime in with my experience. I purchased a MaxCare lifetime warranty for my '11 JGC from Clay at Zeller last week. The cost was significantly less than the prices I found elsewhere on the web (and way, way less than right from the manufacturer's web site). Easy transaction, no hassles.

One thing I found interesting: I was debating between the 7/100k mile and the lifetime/unlimited plans. The 7 year plan is effective from the original in-service date of the vehicle. Which meant, for me, the plan would be pretty much half used already. For the $600 price difference, I went with lifetime.
