Re: MaxCare Warranty??

Dealer doesn't even know where you bought it. It just shows in their system under the VIN

There is a place in another area of the account that lists the vehicle selling dealer. There is another place to designate your preferred dealer so if they send you coupons or the like they will be for your preferred dealer. The only other place there are any dealer names is in the area where it lists the services performed to your VIN and by which dealer.

See above. Obviously I have. It is a separate contract so it can be added at any time. You do not have to have a Max Care contract to buy it. I did buy mine at the same time as my Max Care contract through Bob Kline and Zeigler's but didn't have to do it that way. Just did it that way because I got a good price.

Re: MaxCare Warranty??

I did a bit of research on the Maximum Care Lifetime for my Jeep Unlimited Hard Rock Rubicon.
It breaks down like this: Dealer or Mopar Direct is the same Retail price (It's regulated by the State) In Florida it cost $3415 + tax $239 for a total of $3654. I know that a lot of potential Mods but it's also peace of mind and In Florida and North Carolina these warranties may be Transferred 1 time, which to me has value if I do at some point trade up or sell , I plan to keep my Jeep 10 years. But if I don't the buyer can transfer the (Lifetime Warranty) for a $40.00 processing fee.
It is Quite a bit more than Zeigler which is $2315 and no tax. But if you buy from Zeigler or another source even if you live in FL. or NC. that warranty is NOT transferrable.
So I guess if I didn't live in FL I would definitely buy from Zeigler but for me being able to transfer the warranty when I sell or trade, I feel confident I can recover the $1339 difference in cost as added value to the buyer.
Either way you buy I feel like it's a great product offer from Chrysler.
Also I specifically inquired about the new Mopar lift kit and if dealer installs it that product is also covered.
Hope this info helps out

Re: MaxCare Warranty??

I forgot that MaxCare includes car rental coverage. That being said - can you rent ANY car for $35/day in US?

I don't know about where you are, but you can rent a car where I am for under $30 a day. I have the Max Care Lifetime contract, and my dealer usually gives me a loaner that would cost much more than $35 a day though. He doesn't set up a rental, but gives me a courtesy vehicle off his lot.

It says $35 but that number doesnt seem to have much meaning. For maxcare my dealer sets you up in a like car to what you bring in, loaded GCs, V8 challengers, durangos, you never get some junk cheap econo box car. They pay the cost and set it up never a dime out of pocket. It works more like a loaner program even though its technically a rental. I have used it a good bit, program works well you hand them your keys and they hand you a set and you go quick and easy. Nice side benifit to maxcare.

And here's the rub... you going to compete with the likes of M-B, BMW, and even VW in this 40-70K sport ute class, you better bring some perks. Service Loaners need to be one of them

Mines in for a replacement strut and check valve 3 months into ownership and I'm in a rental I am paying for. I think that's BS.

After this suspension BS I'm thinking I should've spent the little extra and gone with the Bluetech.

if you keep cars for a long time the lifetime maxcare is a bargain at around 2k and you get the rentals with it. Jeep doesn't do loaners be nice if they did and we can say they should but they don't so that just has to be factored in when deciding what to buy. I agree having a car a few months old that is in for repairs and paying for a rental would bother me also. I typically don't believe in extended service contracts and never buy them but in making the decision to buy a Chrysler product with a lot of bells and whistles I knew I would be having more problems then I was used to so the maxcare was an easy decision for me as I keep cars a long time.

Re: MaxCare Warranty??

I keep cars for 5 years or 100K miles. I'll probably go longer with the gc. Unfortunately I have a diesel so the most I can get is 8/120 (way to back up your product FIAT).

Time to start shopping and...

Fix It Again Tony!
