It breaks down like this: Dealer or Mopar Direct is the same Retail price (It's regulated by the State) In Florida it cost $3415 + tax $239 for a total of $3654. I know that a lot of potential Mods but it's also peace of mind and In Florida and North Carolina these warranties may be Transferred 1 time, which to me has value if I do at some point trade up or sell , I plan to keep my Jeep 10 years. But if I don't the buyer can transfer the (Lifetime Warranty) for a $40.00 processing fee.
It is Quite a bit more than Zeigler which is $2315 and no tax. But if you buy from Zeigler or another source even if you live in FL. or NC. that warranty is NOT transferrable.
So I guess if I didn't live in FL I would definitely buy from Zeigler but for me being able to transfer the warranty when I sell or trade, I feel confident I can recover the $1339 difference in cost as added value to the buyer.
Either way you buy I feel like it's a great product offer from Chrysler.
Also I specifically inquired about the new Mopar lift kit and if dealer installs it that product is also covered.
Hope this info helps out
Who told you if you live in Florida you can't buy a warrantee from an out of state dealer and transfer it if you sold the vehicle? That's absolutely not true. If you legally register (pay Florida sales tax and DMV fees) and insure your vehicle in Florida it really doesn't matter where you find the best price and purchase a vehicle service contract....... and it will be transferable as all service contracts or extended warrantee's on Florida registered vehicles are required by law to be transferable!

Both Mopar and Zeigler stated that an out of state purchase was not transferable, however due to pricing I do plan to buy out of state.

Again I'll say that is incorrect, and that you have been misinformed. Mopar & Zeigler cannot dictate Florida law to residents of Florida!
A vehicle legally registered in Florida to a legitimate Florida resident that has an extended service contract assigned to it's VIN, can be transferred to a new buyer, once w/a fee, under Florida law. Where you purchased that extended service contract is irrelevant!

I also just bought the Mopar Maximum Care Lifetime Warranty from Clay R at Zeller motors. He is definitely giving the Forum members a great deal at $2115.
He can also sell the 7 year Mopar Road Hazard for $285 another great price. So for $2400 you can get Mopar Max Lifetime and Road Hazard. That was the best current pricing I was able to find. Clay is very easy to deal with and understands the products.

Good to know since this is exactly what I did when I purchased my 2015 JGC Overland. Purchased it in Illinois and had it titled in Florida from day 1. Sales taxes on the price of the vehicle were paid to the county where I live in Florida. I was not charged any sales taxes on the Max Care warranty ($2115).

Re: MaxCare Warranty??

Prior to purchasing the lifetime warranty from Clay R at Zeller Motors he did confirm that Florida residents can in fact transfer the Maximum Care Lifetime Warranty 1 time at point of sale for a $40 transfer fee.
You can also choose get a prorated refund on the warranty if you sell it and don't want to transfer it to the new buyer.

You cannot transfer the maxcare lifetime warranty period in other states FL is one of the exception states. You can get a prorated refund though even if not in Florida for those wondering.

That is correct a prorated refund is available in any state. The only two states that allow the 1 time transfer are Florida and North Carolina.

Re: MaxCare Warranty??

I spoke with both guys - Clay at Zeller and Bob Cline at Ziegler. I'd buy from either one in a heartbeat. Went in to pick up my car today where they were holding my contract (since last night) to add on the Lifetime Warranty if I wanted it. They really went out on a limb and, because "you drive such a hard bargain" (what a bunch of BS) , reduced the price from $3497 to $3295. Funny - I said we'll keep this simple: I'll give you $2215. The guy's jaw dropped and he said, "How'd you know?" I said "know what?" he said, "That's what it cost us. You're the only one who ever knew that!"

Gotta love this forum! They asked if I could throw them a bone and pay $2300 so they could feel the got something out of me, so since I'll be dealing with them for many years I agreed. But this is great info to have going into negotiations!

FWIW - had the Red CRD on order since September. With all the "stuff" I'm reading here, and the delays from Jeep, emissions questions still to be answered, Red paint shop closing, I decided to see what was out there in the gasser and had a Deep Cherry Red Overland with Advanced Tech Package in my garage 48 hours later. $1000 under invoice too. Tough decision, but at least I won't have to deal with DEF!

I searched around and Clay at Zeller Motors offered the best price on a MaxCare Lifetime warranty with $100 deductible for my '14 JKU with 23,000+ miles. Zeller's was the best price by $200. Did everything by email with one phone call for payment info. Very easy to do and Clay was great; highly recommend.

I dropped the ball and should have done this within the first 12 k miles, probably would have saved some $$. Anyway, I chose the MaxCare Lifetime warranty because we put over 20 k miles per year on our vehicles.

Re: MaxCare Warranty??

Great Thread. I have a 2014 GC Summit Diesel (Auburn). Bought in in December 2013. I already have 27,400 miles on it. I love it. Tons of torque, fun to drive, looks great. Last winter was brutal in the Northeast, and I never felt more in control. Amazing that 2.5 tons can feel so agile. I have kept meticulous records of all fuel since I bought it. Average MPG, Actual (not from the computer) = 27.978 MPG. My best tank was 31.33 MPG, and the worst was 22.3, back in the winter of last year. The range is great is great. Of course, I do a lot of Highway, driving NJ / NY / PA mostly. Some towing, lots of snow last winter. I also have a pretty heavy foot, and usually adhere to the "keep it at 9 MPH over the Speed limit rule..usually". It has been back to the dealer a number of times. Routine maintaince, and a few "check Engine Lights". The last time they changed out a DEF Injector. However, given my high milage, I decided I might need to get an Extended warranty. Bought a 5 Year Max Care policy with $100 Deductable from the dealer I bought it from in PA, yesterday for $1755 plus Tax. I guess I should have inquired about the lifetime, and may do that today. In any case, I feel better about having it, given all the complexity on the Summit, and the number of sensors and such that will cost a fortune to replace. I plan to tow more in the future, so the Deseil made sense. However, the thing does accelorate like a beast, given all the torque. The diesel is also quite the conversation starter.
