So three days ago I moved the Jeep on to the lawn as a dumpster was being delivered. Cold morning (35), started fine etc. Left on a slight incline nose up. Ran for maybe 45 seconds. Shut down and went inside, went to leave an hour later, started the Jeep a big puff of blue smoke came out the exhaust and the MIL light came on. Car runs fine, no power loss. Have gone through 4 stop start cycles. Is there a way to check the code on the EVIC or am I off to the dealer?
Autozone reads for free.
Is the MIL blinking or solid?
If solid, it should clear soon, but if you are loathe to go to a dealer, pick up a scanner/reset tool at Autozone or similar.
Bluetooth OBDII readers are dirt cheap on Ebay. Well under $10 shipped. Install any of several Android apps and you get a wealth of info. One of the best dirt cheap investments you can make for your WK2.
