Misfire and engine sign on

A week ago a yellow motor sign turned on, when the sign is blinking the car is vibrating in zero motion and starts to chock when pressing the gas pedal to start moving.
The codes as provided from the shop:
"Misfire" and
P2097 - Downstream Fuel Trim System 1 Rich
P0131 - O2 sensor 1/1 circuit fail.
The O2 sensor was replcaded two months ago due to same notification and after replacement I had silence but now it started again.
It it something else rather then the O2 sensor? this is too odd.
anyone had this experience?

Re: Misfire and engine sign on

Did they tell you which cylinder contained the misfire?

Re: Misfire and engine sign on

Warranty? Take it to stealer, they should be able to diagnose it no problem.

But it sounds like when it goes into closed loop and it doesn't see the o2 sensor its giving you that real lean mixture which is causing the misfire. Definitely the 02 sensors fault but since you said it was replaced, you need to see why they keep going dead.

Could be the wiring leading up to it, or may be touching on something and burning out prematurely.

Re: Misfire and engine sign on

Thanks Guys,
The problem was fixed by replacing the car computer, the catalytic converter and the O2 sensor.
All under warranty
