Re: Monkey, Footballs, and Jeeps service departments

No question Chrysler dealers bring up the rear, as they long have. Worse, FIAT seems unconcerned, thus far focusing solely on improving product and manufacturing conditions.

I would love to have a Jeep from a dealer service network that rivals that of, say, Lexus. And this enlightened customer orientation would eventually help Chrysler greatly, IMO. But given the choice between a Lexus with Lexus dealers and a WK2 with Jeep dealers, I'll take the latter and suffer the longer drive to one of the two dealers in our area that is, if not Lexus grade, at least technically competent with a can-do attitude.

But each of us has to decide, and who can blame you for being disgusted with forking out $40k or so and getting $20k service, or having to drive an hour to get a simple repair done properly and in a timely manner?

ONE OF THE WORST MISTAKES OF MY LIFE - BOUGHT A 2011 JEEP FROM MARINO JEEP IN CHICAGO

These guys are horrible. Certified techs ?

They put on the overland chrome overlay for the front lower bumper, ON MY LAREDO X !

They actually used double stick tape and it fell off in the car wash !

I prob ran it over now my ride is FUKED

I went back and they said I need the limited or overland bumper, like they didn't know...

Now my check engine light is on and won't go off....

THe dealership actually told me I was luck to even get a loaner most dealerships don't even give them out.

INSANE!

I can't believe this level of service from an american company.....

VERY SAD FOR JEEP THIS TYPE OF SERVICE REPRESENTS THEM AND AMERICAN CARS

I just came across this post......what happened that they replaced the strip or shouldn't have replaced the strip? Were they able to read the codes from your Jeep? As for the loaners, a lot of dealers do not have loaners. I know Marino has some PT Cruisers that they have available for scheduled service appointments. Did you have a scheduled appointment?
Sorry for the questions, I was just asking because I bought my Jeep from there as well and have had nothing but good experiences from them in both sales and service.
