Morning No-Starts

I have a 2011 GC Overland with 5.7 liter engine. For the past three mornings, the first attempt to start resulted in the engine cranking for 10 seconds and stopping. The second start works normally. There were no messages, check light, etc. I had this problem last summer and took it to the dealer and he found no codes. I might add that remote starts do not have this problem. Any help on this will be appreciated.

Re: Morning No-Starts

i had this happen a few times on my 2011 3.6L - one time it took minutes to start. Then.. just worked fine again for a loong time. Never could pin down anything.

Re: Morning No-Starts

Your dealer should know this but if they don't, tell them to check star case #S1308000399. It addresses a problem with the TIPM and they can install a fuel pump relay that bypasses the defective one internal to the TIPM
