Multiple errors

At the end of my trip from South Berwick to Long Island while still driving I got hit by multiple errors : service shifter, service airbag system with the corresponding red light in the dash, acc/fcw unavailable service required, car wasn't recognizing the fact that I had my seatbelt on and was beeping at me constantly and also I had the "phone requires service" on the central screen. Wtf !!??
All this happened after a really pleasant drive (fast one)
I only got the phone requires service couple of firmwares ago and it went away till today. I'm running the latest firmware atm.
I've read up on the forum and it seems nobody has all the issues combined lol.
Service shifter seems to need a new shifter module, airbag and seatbelt another one. Don't know about the "phone needs service" and the FCC/fcw. I noticed the red light on my mirror which I know it's related to the "phone needs service error"
Atm after I start the car I get all the errors above except the " phone needs service" . The service shifter error shows up only 1 time /per car startup while the airbag seat belt and acc/fcw are constant and annoying.
What the hell could had happen ???

Re: Multiple errors

Well, the only thing I could suggest is to go back to the very beginning and look into whether or not your dealer had ever performed the ground strap TSB. Whether your vehicle is old enough to have been caught up in that or not, I'd definitely have them take a look at that.

Re: Multiple errors

They did that TSB some time ago and found nothing wrong . I'm up to date.

Re: Multiple errors

I've read the thread already but unfortunately that seems to match only half the symptoms the car has ( air bag seat belt and acc/fcw) but I also get the service shifter and phone requires service... Bah !!

Re: Multiple errors

Jakkall, could you post the build date of your Jeep? Month/day/year. It's on the door sticker. MDH is month/day/hour (bottom right of sticker). Top left is month/year.

Re: Multiple errors

And now I read on the forums that there's a shortage of orc modules.
That's just great

Re: Multiple errors

I hear ya! Mine was built April 6, 2013. It seems that there is a window in that time frame of builds that is having the ORC module problem. Mine hasn't gone yet, but I think it might just be a matter of time. Being this module controls the airbags, this is definitely a safety concern, and those with the problem should probably report it to the NHTSA: https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ivoq/ This may expedite a safety recall by Chrysler.

Re: Multiple errors

Hi....

just checked this forum....I have the exact same combination of errors and they started last week..I leased the 2014 Summit in July 2013 (currently about 11500 miles)...I brought the car in twice and they said that they could not duplicate the errors so they did nothing.....I get the same set of errors that were described every time I drive but I can not predict when they will occur. The past two times I was told that when the car was "scanned" it showed no history of errors...

I brought the car in again this AM and was able to show the airbag light to the service manager....hopefully they will be able to figure it out...

Please let me know if they come up with a solution to your problem...and I will certainly post here if they are able to fix mine

Re: Multiple errors

They checked mine and as I guessed it's the orc module. That thing takes care of airbags seatbelts and acc/fcw. Part should hit the dealership today or tommorow.
They were saying that the service shifter error and vehicle phone needs service is related to the Orc failure. Apparently that stupid module is chatty and hogs the data bus causing other errors from other modules.
You should take some smartphone photos or in case the dealership is retarted make a small movie when it happens and have a newspaper close by to show the date like when you kidnapp smbd :P
