I too had a fit problem with the driver door and my dealer sent me to the body shop they use. It was fixed, no questions asked.

Out the dealer. Others may need service, and visit this dealer believing they will receive quality service, maybe taking days to deal with inaccurate/untruthful/dishonest/incompetent service, maybe even believing what they're told. It's not defamation if it's true.

I'm going to take mine into my local dealership and demand that I get the upgraded engine cooling and aerodynamic package installed immeadiately. How dare they rip me off by deleting this important feature.

I am surprised it got out of the factory like that. Check for signs that it might have been hit and repaired.

What a load of #(&@ from the dealer.
I would be taking my business to another dealer, stat.

After reading your post, I immediately ran to my GC to check for the same "aerodynamic and cooling feature", but I'm back to report..... no.
Its' missing on mine.

Good luck getting your problem resolved. I think its easily fixable by someone who is competent.

It certainly was a ridiculous move on the dealer's part. But I don't understand the benefit in letting the dealer know one doesn't appreciate being lied to. A leopard can't change his spots. Better to find a more reputable dealer.

Actually I saw two GCs with the same problem in the dealership here in Warsaw.
Both brand new, standing on the display.
One with over centimeter difference in bonnet fitting, other with quite similiar gap as the one mentioned above...

I'll have to check mine very carefully when it finally arrives...

During a routine service call, I had my dealer look at a door alignment issue. Mine was a top-to-bottom mismatch on the driver side passenger door - that door is ~3/16 too low - very visible when looking along the length of the Jeep, back to front.

The desk monkey came out to look and agreed the door was out of alignment, but noted this is beyond what the guys in his shop could address at that appt. I would need an appointment with their body shop.

Linkage with this thread - The guy did note that the front door intentionally is set to sit further out than the passenger door - for aerodynamic reasons - to avoid wind noise, specifically. This seemed reasonable. He was concerned with his shop simply raising the door +3/16 as this might introduce wind noise. This seemed a pretty good point.

I have not been back to make that body shop appt. Waiting for spring.
