My friend just brought a WK2 v6 3.6 in GuangDong China, when he drove his new wk2 back home, he found the car has serious driving wandering, and then his left behind tie was blowout, it's kumho and made in Vietnam, the JEEP 4S can't not solve the problem. can someone give us some tips?
he cost almost 85k dollar, and was upset by this result

Re: My friend is suffering by his brand new WK2, Driving wandering who can help

Sounds like a seriously underinflated tire. Did he check his tire inflation before driving it?

Yeah, sounds like he was driving on a flat tire. Does his model have the tire pressure sensing system? If it does, and it failed to warn him about the low tire pressure, then he may have a gripe with Jeep or the dealer.

After replacing the tire, is there still wandering?

Re: My friend is suffering by his brand new WK2, Driving wandering who can help

I'm confused, he got a flat tire? It happens... But what else could that possibly damage other than the wheel. What is the dealer having problems with? Please explain further so we can help your friend out.

Re: My friend is suffering by his brand new WK2, Driving wandering who can help

A flat tire flying apart can damage more than a wheel, but it seems from what he writes (English obviously is not his main tongue, but he's trying) that either his friend took off with a nearly flat tire or had a puncture en route. Thanks to stability control this is no longer the potential hazard to life it was in years past.

Interesting that Jeep apparently ships GCs to China sans tires unless his dealer swapped them out for inferior shoes. Seems peculiar, as they need to drive these vehicles on and off ships.

The gentleman's friend may wish to make contact with International at Chrysler HQ in Detroit or even FIAT. Corporate strategy places a high priority on succeeding in China, and they doubtless would want to get to the bottom of this in case it's an indication of a systemic problem.

It sounds like the Chinese government took off the good tires to be sold or recycled for profit, and put on shit tires probably full of lead and/or deadly toothpaste, causing the blowout.

And anyone reading this thread.. He paid 85k for his six-banger Jeep.. and it's not an SRT8

That's because the Chinese government took it's 100%+++ import tariff.

I'm doubting this was purchased through a legit dealer (and who's to say what's legit and what isn't in China, the rules change hourly). I don't think Jeep is putting Kumho tires on Jeeps from the factory so there's no telling what other unauthorized "modifications" this vehicle has been through.

Re: My friend is suffering by his brand new WK2, Driving wandering who can help

To be a devil's advocate, possibly Chrysler puts Asian tires onto GCs before shipping them because suitable replacement Goodyears and Michelins aren't available within China.

Whatever, the Chinese WK2 owner should contact Detroit chop-chop. If there's hanky-panky going on with their dealers, they'll want to know about it.

Can anyone here provide him with an email address for a higher-up in consumer affairs or International at Jeep/Chrysler?

All WK2 was sold in china with kumho, actually all the brand new car were imported with kumho , because the 430n navigator cannot be used in our country , local dealer change with a fake one. so the amplifier is not original, chrysler china authority this and even they didnt gave a chinese version dashboard (information ?) this is in china, we had paid 95% extra tax to government, my friend paid 550k chinese yuan that is mean 85k buy a 3.6 WK2 4X4 LAREDO qt without ql, nearly half is tax, rest was caught by chrysler and their dear, their also a robber in this game. this is good price, cause the dealer give $1391 discount combine with the chrysler officer price to my friend, and just because this, he had to fly to a another state to buy his lovely new car, all the unlucky things was just happened on his way to home.

Sure, it COULD do more damage, you could blow a tire and flip off the side of a mountain. But that's not likely going to happen.

So back to the OP... What is the question you're asking? It's still unclear. Yes I understand there is a language barrier. That's what goggle translate is for!!

the question is the JEEP's dealer(is that right? who is authorized by chrysler in his hometown) try to solved the problem of pulling to one side in two days, but the they failed,
my friend want chrysler to deal with this matter with him directly, now it seem as if it's a triangle game, the dealer who sold the car to my friend, the local dealer(wk2 is in there ) and chrysler china(behind ), he want to talk with the one that can solved his problem, he call chrysler hotline ,but no reaction, a engineer was send to local dealer but he idont want to answer my friend's question.

ps i dont know how to say the words ----the car puling to one side.
