Re: My jeep developed the famous "HEMI TICK"

I have the same issue, on a 15' Overland. The tick doesn't go away after 30 seconds though. I'm hesitant to take it the dealer the service dept in NYC isn't the best. I was told its the lifters making noise. Has anyone changed the exhaust manifold bolts? Did it eliminate the noise?

Re: My jeep developed the famous "HEMI TICK"

The tick remains on my 13 as well. Every time i go from a stop to a slow acceleration I get the tick. I also don't trust NYC service. I've left my jeep overnight multiple times with no solutions to a few problems. Just lost time. I guess I'll spring for these bolts next month and give this a try.

Lifter tick is a bit sharper metallic sound.
Exhaust tick, for lack of a better term, sounds a bit breathier almost like a spit sped up
with a computer.
The old 4.0's were infamous for exhaust manifolds self destructing, sad to see the 5.7 is also afflicted.
