Re: My push to start button no longer starts my JGC after picking it up from the soun

Well, I went out this afternoon and took apart the panel that Yoda and Madmick32 mentioned (thank you all by the way) and hanging there was that little blue wire. Plugged it in and...." Yay"...I got all my features back to normal. Couldn't be happier. Thanks to everyone who chimed in to help out with opinions and directions in all of this. Feels good not to have to return to that stealership. Thanks again to all.

Re: My push to start button no longer starts my JGC after picking it up from the soun

I have to bring back an old thread to thank Yoda, etc. as well.

I had the same problem. Just got my Jeep back from stereo/amp/speaker/sub install and the push button starter wouldn't work, and did the keyless entry. They thought it happened when they disconnected the battery, and said I would need to bring it to Jeep to have the push button reprogrammed.

One dealer (they may be a sponsor here, so I won't mention names), said the shop probably cut the wrong wire under the dash and there wasn't much they could do about it. Another dealer set me up for an appointment next week to reprogram the push button, but said there was a chance they'd fried a module.

I googled it and found this thread and in 2 minutes, it was fixed. Thanks guys.

Re: My push to start button no longer starts my JGC after picking it up from the soun

Can I just say how much I LOVE this forum?!?

I just had my new subwoofer/amp "professionally" installed and I get my jeep back with the push button start and keyless entry not working. So the installer tells me those things often go out on vehicles and they probably need to be replaced. Really? Cause they were both working just fine when I dropped my car off!
Anyways, followed the instructions above and the blue wire was connected but it seemed loose. Took the piece off where the wire plugs in and saw one of the pins was completely bent down. Straightened it out, plugged it back in and whaddayaknow everything is working again!

Thank you for this fix!!!!! You guys are awesome!
