Possible flaws could include the data write speed, CD-R vs. other media & not going from v2.3 --> v2.3 --> v2.4
Follow the instructions here: http://mofv.com/mygig/DLZipBurnGuide.htm
or you end up with a file that will only register as a Data disk. Specifically these 2 steps need to be followed to prevent what you see.
5. Rename the Disc Name to the proper release name. Normally the proper CD/DVD label name and release name is the name of the .zip file without the .zip extension.
6. Make sure the Allow files to be added later (Multisession) Check box is NOT selected (Un-Checked). This is NOT optional as if this box is left checked then it will only be readable on computers and you will end up with the DATA message when you insert your CD/DVD in the MyGIG radio and the install will never start.
It is a good idea to select the Verify data on disc after burning option to make sure your CD/DVD is reliable however it will add time to your burn time. Many times the Verify data on disc after burning option will reveal corrupted downloads as well as bad burns. (Recommended)
