Need Some Help Removing Tails

Im getting ready to remove my tail lights and send them to Scott. So far I have all of the rear panelling removed from both sides. Im not sure what to do from there. I figured I would see a couple of nuts to remove and they would just pop out but no such luck. I do see a long rubber plug that can be removed but there is insulation there. I did a quick search behind the insulation but didnt really see anything. Can anybody point me in the right direction from here? Where to look and how to pop them out?

Also, now that all the rear panneling is of I wanted to go for a quick drive to see if there was a difference in road noise, but when I hop in and push the start button I get the "key not detected" message in the evic. Is that normal?

Thanks in advance for the help

Bone stock 15 Srt. Undecided on mod list. Major research underway.

LED Backup Light Install with Pics
LED Liftgate Reverse and Tail Light Install w/pics

These might help. He took his off to replace bulbs with LEDs but should be the same process.
