Re: New Jeep With issues

Ok i understand the unlock option.. i wish there was a way to have my doors unlock when i shifted into park..

Now i brought my truck into the jeep dealer.. They told me the knob selector was completely broken into pieces and replaced it for me in 30 minutes.. i cant even believe they could sell a brand new truck and not check that? Well either way they replaced it and im happy with the fix.. THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP GUYS

The unlocking of all doors when shifting to park, I believe is a GM feature (or maybe Ford?). No Chrysler car that I know of has that feature. For quite a few years Chryslers always have unlock all doors when either front door is opened from the inside.

BTW, have you addressed your yellow fog light issue? I don't think any car company will not design a bulb replacement that would need a bumper removal. From my experience, the most I would need is a torx screw driver to replace a light bulb.

And I can't believe someone buying a vehicle costing $30,000+ would not check EVERY function and feature BEFORE driving off the dealership lot for the first time!

Eh.... Getting new vehicles frequently, i don't always have the time to inspect every little thing. I have a mental checklist, but I can't say i'd catch some small issue.

Many of us paying that much the vehicle assume the vehicle is put together and works well and don't bother to take the time check every detail immediately. I just check the things that may drive me nuts, like brake shudder, and those that have been routinely identified as problem areas by this forum.
