New Tsb for steering thud

A new tsb came out today for those with the thud or bump in the steering wheel. It requires replacing the intermediate shaft. I already had mine replaced a couple weeks ago and it took care of the problem.

Re: New Tsb for steering thud

Does it feel like a little looseness in the steering/small movement?

Yes it feels like someting is loose and a thud in the wheel when braking and making parking lot turns. Replacing the shaft on mine took care of the issue even though mine probably did not get this new part number.

Re: New Tsb for steering thud

Thanks for the info. Mine has always made the thud, not a big deal. Didn't want to take it in and have constant return trips. Ill schedule it Monday now that there is a TSB for it.

Re: New Tsb for steering thud

Thanks for this new tsb. I asked my dealership before about this issue, but they couldn't replicate it. Last week I brought printed tsb and they replaced intermediate shaft. Looks like stud is gone.

Re: New Tsb for steering thud

I took mine in this morning, they called and said everything is fine which it isn’t…taking the TSB in this afternoon. The shitty part is we have the same thing on our Durango.
