Noise from rear

I was just wondering if anyone else has heard this noise. If I take my foot off the break and just let the jeep roll at around 5 mph I get a rubbing type noise from the rear just at that speed under those conditions. It is almost as if a rear break it touching, but it's not. I had it to the dealer and they heard it but said no fix at this time. They compared to a couple others on the lot which they say made the same noise. I have a V-6 with qudra trac II.

Re: Noise from rear

I have the same problem, I think this TSB 17-003-10 addresses the issue, what I hear sounds like a hat symbol and lasts about a second.

Re: Noise from rear

I would say by the lack of response not many people have this issue or have not noticed this issue.

Re: Noise from rear

Ok so I have been noticing this humming noise from what sounds like the rear end under certain conditions. When coasting between 20 and 30 mph it seems on roads with some bends in them I get this what almost sounds like a rubbing noise from the rear end. I have also found that it will not do it in sport mode. I have a V-6 quadra trac II. I almost never hear it out on the main roads it is always in a sub division or parking lot.

Re: Noise from rear

I have a noise like that in the front, but sounds more like a tennis ball shaking in coffee can. Dealer couldn't replicate.

Re: Noise from rear

My dealer heard my noise, they just said no fix at this time they indicated chrysler was working on it. The noise I have is not that loud I just hear it under those conditions and if I have the radio up I won't hear it at all. I would just like to hear from someone else if they have this noise from the rear at 5 mph when just coasting with no gas and no brakes. I had read somewhere that they had a redesigned axle isolator coming after the first of the year I thought maybe that would also resolve this problem. Other than that I love this Jeep.

My dealer called me a couple days later saying they had some rear bushings they needed to install. It's part of a TSB. I haven't taken it back yet to have then replaced.
