Noise when turning off front defrost

Hey folks, I noticed that when I turn off the front defrost, there is a load 'thud' noise ... it sounds very similar to an engine misfire... Happens everytime I turn off the front de-frost... Any one else facing a similar issue?
Thanks in advance for your inputs.

Re: Noise when turning off front defrost

A loud thud and an engine misfire are 2 very different sounds. Having said that, I often hear the sounds of probably vent doors/electric motors closing if I sit in the vehicle after I shut it off.

Re: Noise when turning off front defrost

Thanks. My bad... it sounds more like a misfire... but comes from someplace close to the passenger foot well. I a m able to replicate it by turning the defrost on and off. Will be taking the truck in to th dealership this week...
