Noisy brake pedal 2014

I have noticed lately when I give the brake pedal a firm press then let off it makes a TINK sound. I looked up under the dash and there is a piston up there that seems to be leaking fluid. Is this normal? The picture shows the shiny rubber boot where the fluid is leaking.

Here is a video of the noise.

I have the adv-tech package and don't get that noise.

However, your picture of that piston sure doesn't look right...it sure seems to be leaking I'd get that looked at by a service tech with a pulse.

Re: Noisy brake pedal 2014

I assume cars with the advanced tech-package are brake by wire. I would be surprised if you still have a mechanical piston like I have. Yeah, fluid leaking on the boot definitely seems suspicous though.

Re: Noisy brake pedal 2014

Update: I had it in the shop for a couple days for various software updates, etc. They said the fluid on the boot was normal, but they did replace the brake switch. I would say the noise is reduced and the pedal doesn't seem loose like it did before. The TINK noise still happens but not as often. They techs notes said some noise is normal.
