You have a good attitude man. I do the same thing with being nice. I only pull out the angry card when it is absolutely necessary. Not very often.

Good luck and good call on letting them take another look. Keep me posted!

Well I am on my 3rd day of no phone call from Chrysler. I have left two messages. Reason it was two was someone called my Tuesday (name of Charlie) and left me a message and said he was my new case manager. I missed his call, called him back and left a message (no one EVER answers). Finally got a hold of someone yesterday (Tom) and he was nice enough to look into it for me and said that Charlie was no longer the guy and that I had to go to a different department . So now my case manager is BJ, but I got her direct line and extension (which saves a crap load of time). No return call yet.

I just want an update, even if it has no answers, I just want to know what they are doing and what they are expecting from the test they will be performing on my vehicle next Tuesday.

Arghhhhh, I absolutely hate no communication, it is rude and IMO unacceptable. A simple phone call that acknowledges my message and a brief description of where they are at would make me happy. I have nothing except changing case managers and no answers.

YAY, communication has been made. Though I didn't get any answers I got a lead time on the next time she will call me. She asked what was all happening and if I would want the vehicle replaced. I told her I would accept a replacement with the stipulation that if it had a shudder that I wouldn't have to go through all of this again.

She said she was going to investigate and let me know Tues-Wed next week.

So my next post in this thread will be then.

you are now caught up to exactly the same position I am in now. And don't count on the buyback, I went through 8 rounds of back and forth with the customer dept. you are working with until I finally told them I want a yes or no answer on a buyback. I have my official letter to Chrysler ready to send to initiate the 15 day grace period for them to make final communication and one last attempt to fix it, before the lemon law proceedings begin. I wrote an email to my service dealer to try and get more detail on this mysterious fix that they are supposed to be producing and it took them 2 days just to respond and say they are researching it.

The shudder is so bad now I am just tempted to take a loss, trade it in and move on with something else.

I hear ya on the trade in idea. My only concern is when I find a different car, my Jeep wont pass their test drive.

I would have to say that mine is getting more noticeable in the lower rpms now, same speed intervals. Noticed it today going up a slight grade, just cruising, just above 40mph

This all sucks. I want to buy one badly, but this issue is horrifying. Good luck to the guys who are in the trenches with this. I've been there, don't want to go back.

I got my response from my dealer, here it is.......

"J***,

Just wanted to keep you informed. I am in contact with the Chrysler Tech reps that are district managers/tech advisors. They have insider information that basically no one else has. I was advised that there was a torque converter that would be coming out for this car, but apparently that is either not the case, and or it may not be for a while. He said that he did not mean to say it on the Jeeps, and that it apparently was on the Ram’s only. I will keep you informed, I apologize for the slow response. I am actively working with the engineers and my tech rep…hopefully we should have something more concrete for you soon. Thanks"

Doesn't say much, but I guess it's something. My dealer is doing a great job, it's f'in Chrysler that has no clue what they are doing. Why would you produce a vehicle with out producing parts to fix problems that may arise.

Well today is day 1 of testing. They have 4 tests to run like I mentioned before. Chyrsler is supposed to call me back today or tomorrow regarding the buy back. I also contacted a lawyer, he reviewed my case and said he would like to see one more attempt at a repair before he would file the lemon law.

And for the cherry on top, they put me in a mini-van rental. I despise mini-vans, I hate everything they stand for. But at least I have a ride
