I wouldn't recommend this to other people....if you do it fine but it doesn't take much to cause oiling problems due to blocked oil passages. Teflon tape will cause problems if a bit gets dislodged.

Or just a finger wipe of anti Seize grease and you'll never have trouble again. I use it on spark plugs too....

Well now I don't feel so bad. I had this happen to me also. I bought a new plug and wrestled with the old one for 45 minutes. It really seemed to be fused to the pan.

I install a Fumoto Valve on all my vehicles.

It makes oil changes a breeze. They are extremely durable and reliable.

There is one equipped on my monster Rubicon that has a 4.5 lift and 37's among other things that goes rock crawling and off road since I bought it back in 2011.

Never have to worry about rounding off the drain bolt, over tightening it, etc. Makes oil collection for analysis a cinch too.

got one of these for my SRT huge socket head very hard to round off...

Newer hemi's have plastic oil pans even.
