Oil in air intake hose

2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 5.7 L 41K miles

I was changing my air filter on my AirRaid system and I notice oil accumulating
in about a 4 to 5 inch area about where the pcv hose connects to the intake. What would cause this??
Thanks in advance

Re: Oil in air intake hose

Bad PCV Valve. Get a oil catch can and clean out the line and tb. the catch can does what the name sounds like and will prevent oil from accumulating in the intake and on the tb

Re: Oil in air intake hose

Thanks! Just ordered a new pcv valve. Do you just spray the tb with carburetor cleaner? Clean the hose that way too?

yes and go thru the tb with a rag too to help get the oil out of it.
