Re: Ordered Overland. Shudder is making me nervous! Opinions wanted

Built 11 November 2010 no shutter here...I may have felt it once but it was so slight...more than likely it was the road surface....even if mine had the shutters....I would definitely buy again...The only thing that is different from the previous 5 Grand Cherokee’s I have had....it seems that the rear wheels slip more than before prior to the ELSD kicking-in. It use to kick in quicker with less rear wheel slippage…when it grabs a- hold...it really goes...exactly where you point it no matter what the speed or road surface. (like it’s on rails is the best way I can describe it).

What was the fix for 05-07? Do you mean it was released in 2008?

Every vehicle has driveline issues, you can log into any forum and find complaints about driveline vibration, shutter, etc. It's not Jeep or Hemi specific.

Another thing to take into account is what Chrysler was in the years mentioned. The ugly stepchild of Daimler then the bastard child of Cerberus. Not pretty by anyone's standards.

One thing has been made abundantly clear by Marchionne and the rest of the new leadership team, things ARE NOT business as usual with Chrysler. I think it's time people stop comparing apples to oranges and give the new management time to do their job. What happened in 2007 has no bearing what so ever with what's happening now. People need to get over their historical bias and move forward.

Have you had the ESC flash? Mine seems to much more responsive after that. It used to kick out futher than I would like, it is better now.

No, I haven't. Is it part of a recall or just a TSB thats out? As far as I know mine doesn't have and outstanding recalls...according to to the Jeep owners page when I enter my VIN it comes back "no outstanding recalls". I wouldn't mind having the ESC flash...maybe it would fix it.

It was a rapid response. Call your dealer and ask.
