Re: Overland Alarm goes off for no reason

I've had the exact same problem but it only happened once. Same error message too. Hopefully an update can come out to correct this.

Re: Overland Alarm goes off for no reason

Looks like lots of this happening in the last 2 months. Could it be heat related? Mine just started it today. Went off twice without any reason.

My 2011 Overland Summit alarm went off for no reason twice.
Once at 3:00 AM and woke the whole neighborhood.

My 2011 Overland Summit has done this 2 times. Did the dealer find the cause of this problem and fix it?

Manualy lock all the doors by hand. Push eack door lock down by hand before closing. Then push the drivers door lock down by hand before closing, instead of using the remote. You may also use the key inside the remote to lock the door from the outside. But don't use the remote and this should override the alarm system, keep the vehicle secure and the alarm system off

Re: Overland Alarm goes off for no reason

Happened to my 2011 Overland today. Wife came out of work to find the alarm going off and lights flashing. Hit unlock on the key fob to stop it. Anyone ever get an answer as to the cause?

This also works when leaving dogs in the car, just open the drivers door, lock the doors with the button on the armrest and close the door. Locked, but no alarm. Don't forget your keyfob !

Re: Overland Alarm goes off for no reason

Not true. I lock my car like this all the time, get out the drivers door (with my keyfob), push the lock button on the armrest, and close the door. Look at the dash and the red "armed" indicator light is flashing!

Re: Overland Alarm goes off for no reason

You could be right. Mine has a extra class IV alarm for insurance reasons, with motion/tilt sensor.
I don't know if the red light always goes on if the car is locked or that it is linked with the alarm itself.
