Own a 2011-2013 and had your windshield replaced? Specifically if you have the rain sensor as well.

Had mine replaced recently and the number printed on the windshield is 68036457AG (which I'm told doesn't exist in their system as a valid part number).

The invoice says they (the Jeep dealer) gave me a 68080676AB but that's not whats printed on the glass.

Anyone else run into this issue and get a 68036457AG? I hate it because the part number and other info are printed on the glass in black and is very visible.

I had windshield on 2011 Limited replaced and no longer have it to check the number. However the stamp on mine was similar to yours... word MOPAR and bar code. Yes, I know the OEM does not have that, but you do have a MOPAR official replacement windshield which is better than many on here get. Since the markings are at the very bottom center of the windshield they should not be seen unless you are looking for them. Relax and enjoy!

That's where the lettering is on my 2014 with original windshield. I like it better there than in the lower left corner

Hmm. My brand new 2015 Overland has the lettering on lower corner on passenger side and there is no bar code.

Re: Own a 2011-2013 and had your windshield replaced?

I guess you're right. I've moved on to a new issue. lol

So is the rain sensor attached to the glass or the rear view mirror assembly? Had our first rain since having the windshield replaced and the rain sensor isn't working like it use to. It's not kicking in like before. It's like the sensitivity is way off. I use to be able to just give it one turn and it would do it's thing no matter what the rain intensity was.

This morning I barely would cut on and in between those time frames I wouldn't see anything because that's how much rain had accumulated.

We've been over this in past threads, but here you go. The rain sensor is attached to the windshield. This is one of the reasons that people want MOPAR replacement windshields. The sensor needs time to relearn. I was in a hurry on mine (It was raining hard that day.) so I had dealer do a "reboot" for lack of a better term. They actually did it twice. Hope this helps.

Re: Own a 2011-2013 and had your windshield replaced?

I'm sorry, I searched "rain sensor" and didn't find any topic titles pertaining.

Thanks, so I shouldn't worry and the rain sensor will go back to normally eventually as it retrains itself?

I was starting to think maybe they touched the sensor or they got it dirty some how which is why it was under performing in this mornings rain. I didn't feel safe driving.

The windshield part number printed on the glass is not a Mopar number -- it's a supplier assembly number which won't match the actual Mopar part number. The Mopar printing indicates you got OEM specified glass which is what you want.

First, no need to apologize. I did not mean to sound critical. I too did not feel safe driving until it relearned. I'm sure some of the techies on here will add some factual information.

Do you mean you had the rain sensor and you replaced it with a windshield that doesn't have it?

So I've spoken to the service departments at two different Jeep dealers regarding the below and they have both said they have no idea what I'm talking about. There's nothing to reset, relearn, or reprogram when it comes to the rain sensor is what I'm being told.
