P06DD 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee - Oil Pump Replaced

Hi!

I've gotten my engine oil pump replaced, about 4 weeks ago. I drove my car today and my engine light went on...again. I used my uncle's code reader and once again it's a P06DD issue. Recently, I realized that the car begins to shake (very slightly) when i travel at 55mph or faster.

At a normal speed (30 mph or so) i can see the the PSI is around 25. I don't know if that's normal. Also, this wouldn't be induced by a loose/faulty gas cap or dirty air filter, correct? Would they replace the engine oil sensor when replacing a pump?

The car is still under warranty but I just want people's input.

This is my first car and obviously i'm extremely disappointed. I'm only 19 and work hard to pay off my car. I'm sorry if the questions were "stupid" I just want to get a better idea of what's going on. If anyone can help me, i would appreciate it.

Thank You!

No such thing as a stupid question, but a little more info might help, such as engine. Good luck.

There is a TSB on the oil pressure sender. Not the same code you have but making sure the sender has been replaced may not be a bad idea.

Will a faulty Oil Pressure Sensor cause my Engine or my Oil Light to come on? This might be a bad question also.

The only bad question is the one that is not asked. Yes, a faulty sensor could cause the light to come on.

Re: P06DD 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee - Oil Pump Replaced

4 of the most common possible causes for that code to set.

1. Dual stage oil pump.
2. Engine mechanical failure.
3. Incorrect engine oil filter.
4. Engine oil pressure sensor.

At 30MPH in 8th gear at 1500RPM that could be normal, but at 30MPH in 1st gear at say, 4000 or 5000RPM, I don't think it would be correct.

Re: P06DD 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee - Oil Pump Replaced

Hi!

I have gotten my Engine Oil Pump, Oil Pressure Sensor and my the wiring all replaced. Unfortunately, the light came on as i drove from the dealership.

i honestly hate this. I've taken it to the dealership 3 times, for the same code.

I will probably get my oil changed and have them replace the filter. Hopefully this will solve my issue. My car still vibrates when i drive above 40 mph :/

No clue. Back to the dealer. Just want to say welcome to the forum. Nice to have the next generation Jeep enthusiast on board.

Is it just a vibration, or are there noises associated with the vibration above 40? I don't always trust sending units to be 100 percent accurate. I would put a good old fashioned pressure gauge on it and see if the readings agree with the sending unit.
