Re: Pano Roof / Sunshade Noises?

mine seems to be coming from the rear glass section. it is coming from where the glass meets the metal frame that holds the glass which gets bolted to the sunroof frame as a unit. the adhesive is probably defective. it seems as though 6 star bolts hold the rear section and the headliner does not need to come out.

Re: Pano Roof / Sunshade Noises?

Just got the vehicle back and all is fine, no more noise. Dealer said they ususlly have 8 headline blockers/clips, but for some reason the REP said they decided to put only 2 in.

This is a issue thay are having because the regional rep knows of the issue. I dont think they are gonna add them to everyone's unless there is a high complaint issue.

But either way, the wife is happy, and that makes me happy.

Yesterday, I tried to push some spots around pano roof but couldn't seem to find these "clips". Can someone explain little more specifically where these clips located at?

And fdnyfish, did the dealer have to take down the headliner to work on these clips? Thanks.

How's the headliner look? (Marks, scuffs etc.)?

Re: Pano Roof / Sunshade Noises?

I dont know if they had to pull the headliner down, but I can tell you that before the clips were in, I was able to push up the headliner around the sunroof. Now the entire roof feels solid and there is no play in it.

There dosn't seem to be any marks anywhere

I will ask the dealer what the part was and if there is a number associated with it.

Re: Pano Roof / Sunshade Noises?

I stopped by and wanted to say thanks. I had some rattling near my rear passenger side that I was able to fix by applying pressure where you guys indicated and now no more rattle.

Re: Pano Roof / Sunshade Noises?

At my last service I complained of a rattle in my sunroof. They said that they had been instructed by Chrysler to put double sided foam tape between the sunroof frame and the headliner. I was skeptical but so far, so good - the rattle has disappeared.

Re: Pano Roof / Sunshade Noises?

Does kinda sound like a Saturday "do-it-ur-selfer" kind of repair!
