Re: panoramic sunroof rattles

That is a very valuable bit of information for you guys with the creaking problem. Mine is still very quiet and I am very happy since the dealer replaced the frame. Thanks MIKE2013GC

Since you have the problem described in the tsb I'd take it to them anyway and try to get the tsb applied.

Without a doubt. I'd fight a bit for that one.

Re: panoramic sunroof rattles

Just adding my story to the list, in the hopes that one day Chrysler opens its eyes and realizes that forums and social media aren't just a marketing channel...you can actually learn about problems from customers! Go figure. I've had the rattle in my 2011 Overland for over a year. Taken it to the dealer 3 times. First time, they didn't really do anything...[the intermittent] rattle went away, and they said "welp, it's fixed!" Second time, they executed a TSB (resecured the 8-12 points around the pano sunroom). Third time they tightend the cables. They have no idea what's wrong. I absolutely love the car when it's not rattling...I absolutely detest the car when it is. So as the first new car I've ever purchased, Chrysler's window of losing a future customer is soon coming to a close. I called the Marvin guy as suggested...waiting to hear back. Hopefully that will help. I'll send the service manager this new TSB, but he probably won't look at it as he hasn't the link to this very thread. Can't even describe how pissed I am at Chrysler.

Question Re: panoramic sunroof rattles

I was so happy to find this thread because I too have this issue with my pano roof. I have a 2012 GC Overland (16k miles) and have the dreaded clicking noise over the rear passengers door whenever going over bumps....seems to come from where the glass retainer clips screw/attach to the frame.

Not sure (really nervous) about having the dealer tear apart the liner and roof though; I live in the Rochester/Syracuse NY area and not sure which Jeep dealer would be the best around here for this type of repair.

Love my GC...guess if this is the worst thing that I have to live with, it's not so bad!

Re: panoramic sunroof rattles

Been living with my rattle since 2011. Have found no "definitive fix" here, and like you, am not about to have a dealer tear my headliner apart! Aside from this one complaint, the truck has been and continues to be an absolute pleasure!

Re: panoramic sunroof rattles

Just providing an update on my '11 Overland rattle (clicking from the pano sunroof ever since about 6 months in). Took it to one dealer 5 times. They told me to stop coming in, they obviously can't fix it, and take it back to the dealer I bought it from. Took it to that dealer twice. They can't fix it. That's 7 tries total, including all the TSB's, body engineers, Chrysler regional leads, etc. I'm done. The dealer has no interest in fixing the issue, and Chrysler has wiped their hands. I wish I had a fix for you guys!

Re: panoramic sunroof rattles

Thanks for the update, although sorry your issue wasn't resolved. At least I feel a little better for not even attempting to address the rattle in our 2011 Overland Pano Sunroof by the passengers side rear door! We decided to just live with it a long time ago, and while it hasn't gotten any better, we have learned to just accept it, since it's basically the only real problem we've ever had with the vehicle!

Re: panoramic sunroof rattles

I don't understand how one dealer can tell you that and one does just the opposit. Back in the spring my dealer heard the noise, they went on line and got the info, in a few days they scheduled me in for a replacement glass frame for that's what Chrysler reccomended, the next day they delivered my car to my driveway, and its been around 8 months now, and it is still totally quiet! They did a very nice job, not a finger print anywhere, and looks like it did when I picked it up new. It just seemed so academic. Some dealers are on top of things, some are certainly not. I'm sorry for your delema. I can't imagine nothing can be done.

When you guys refer to a rattle caused by the pano roof glass, what does it sound like? I have a 2013 overland with a quiet rattle near the passenger back door. It sounds more like plastic sound. I pushed up on headliner to resecure, but the rattle persists. It's quiet and if I wasn't neurotic, I could live with it. Wife thinks I'm crazy. Anyway, just wondering what the roof rattle sounds like. Thx.

It was a loud clicking sound. As if someone had a small hammer and would tap the class. To me it was extreemly irratating. Still no noise since I've had it fixed.
