Panoramic sunroof switches stopped functioning

Just drove a little over 1,000 miles on a weekend trip and now my sunroof switches no longer work. I can get the shade (cloth stuff) to open and close but only of I hold the switch down...the Auto feature doesn't work now. The glass open/close/vent switches don't work at all. I checked the fuse (J22) and it's still good.

Anyone seen this and any idea about what could be wrong?

Re: Panoramic sunroof switches stopped functioning

Sounds like loose wiring, I doubt both stitches would go bad at the same time. Don't worry about it, take it back to the dealer and let them worry about it.

Re: Panoramic sunroof switches stopped functioning

If only there was a single dealership I could trust. Seems like every time I take my Jeep in, something goes wrong and my Jeep is never as good as before (scratches, loose pieces, etc.). Can't stand that stuff!

Incidentally, I tried out a new dealership today. I dropped it off this morning at 8:40a, waited around for their super slow shuttle to take me back to work, and at 4:30p today I got a call where they told me everything was all taken apart and they still couldn't figure out what was wrong and I have to find a way to get home.

I guess it made no difference that I let them know if they can't figure it out by early afternoon to go ahead and put it back together and I would figure out a different time to bring it in.

I just hope if/when they do fix it, the condition of the interior is as good as it was before. The dealership that fixed a problem in my radio left a few marks in the black plastic surrounding the dash ... and they just shrugged their shoulders and said, "sorry," with blank stares on their faces.

Sorry to rant, just really tired of the same old behavior by dealerships.

They've replaced the motor and say that it's all working again. I'm waiting for the shuttle driver to come pick me up. I just hope it's in as good of condition as it was originally.

Re: Panoramic sunroof switches stopped functioning

Got it back and the sunroof works again. However, I wondered if someone wouldn't mind snapping a shot or two of their Jeep's left A-Pillar. See my attached photos. Should it bulge like this?

No bulge, and it should fit better at the top as well.

no bulge, they bent the shit out of the trim when removing the headliner. make them replace the pillar trim as well as new clips to hold it in.

Argh! That's what I thought. If they can even get the parts in (Couldn't find them as being available yet via Mopar's site), I just hope they don't screw anything else up while they're in there.

Re: Panoramic sunroof switches stopped functioning

Took it back to them today and they will be ordering two replacements (left and right). Even though Mopar's site shows them as N/A, I hope they will be able to get them.

Re: Panoramic sunroof switches stopped functioning

I've got exactly the same problem today morning with panoramic sunroof switches - the glass open/close/vent switches stopped functioning (only the cloth shade can be opened and closed if I hold the switch down) I'm have an appointment to the dealership already and I'm going to mention that it may be the motor issue.
