Parking Light Indicator

When I picked up my JGC 2012 last week the salesman noticed that the green parking light indicator on the dash was lit. He indicated that was odd, and it seem like he had not seen that before. The light stays is on even when the switch is set to "A" for automatic in the daylight (so the head lights are not on). The light only goes out when the switch is set to "o". Is this normal?

Thanks

Re: Parking Light Indicator

Are you sure the headlights weren't actually on? The system has very little low light tolerance and it will sometimes turn them on in slightly dimmed light situations.

Re: Parking Light Indicator

Yeah, check the headlights. If the knob is at "A", and the green light is on and the headlights are on, and it's broad daylight, then perhaps there's a bad light sensor that thinks it's dark out.

If you turn the knob to "A", then the green lamp should only light up if the the headlights are actually on.
The green light will also turn on if you turn it to any of the two positions to the right of "O" - to tell you that you're turned on either the running lights on or the headlamps.
